My blog, a continuation of my recently published book, Animal Wild, includes news from HART wildlife rescue in Hampshire and other rescues, wildlife and nature photography, short book reviews (mostly but not entirely of books on similar themes), newsletter round-ups and news on threats to wildlife and the environment and what various organisations and protest groups are doing about it.

There are also reflections on my career as a fifth generation bookseller and my firm Bertram Rota Ltd, founded by my grandfather, which celebrated its centenary in 2023. We deal primarily in rare books, first editions, private press books and archives. Bertram Rota Booksellers – Home
