This took place pretty close to home, I won’t be more specific for obvious reasons (we never publicly reveal sett locations). Not much to report but we did find two setts which were new to us, one large and with so much recent digging that it looked like a building site. I saw a muntjac deer breaking cover and heard woodpeckers. There were some interesting fungi and I thought these woodland scenes rather lovely. We also visited a local newt pond nature reserve. No newts (a little early in the year and evenings are best said our newt expert) but a delightful, peaceful little idyll nonetheless.
